One of the many places which is still sitting on my bucket list is Greece. It is a country with rich ancient culture that made a significant influence in the way of living of western society. Located in the southern part of Europe, this country boasts an extensive coastlines and islands in the Ionian, Aegean and Mediterranean Seas.
Due to the geographic location of Greece where it shares borders with Albania, Bulgaria and Turkey, It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Some says that it is one of the small nations which receive a large number of visitors. No wonder why there are so many travel agencies include Greece in their tours like the holidays 2014 with Cosmos.
Given a chance, I would definitely plan my trip and see this Five Places I want to Visit in Greece:
Meteora
Meteora is considered as one of the gems of Greece. Meteora literally which means 'in the heavens above'. It is located in Kalambaka and they say that the first thing you'll notice once you arrive in this town is the massive rock pinnacles or also known as the Meteora dominating the horizon. They also describe this place as nature's authentic masterpiece as it was initially a solid rock split by earthquakes and weathered by water and wind over million years.
Santorini
Wherever I heard of Greece the first thing that always came into my mind is the white cube structures with blue domed roof. This place is popularly known as Santorini, a volcanic island famous for its dramatic views of stunning sunsets. Santorini or also known as Thira among locals is composed of several villages and towns where in some of them are perched on top of the crescent-shaped cliff of the caldera.
Athens
Another place that I want to see in Greece is Athens. This is the capital city of Greece where in some of the historical and cultural sites are located. Some of these remarkable sites are the Odeon of Agrippa, the Altar of the Twelve Gods, the Temple of Apollo and many more.
Rhodes
Rhodes is one of the largest islands of Greece. Because the island has extensive medieval town, archaeological sites and beautiful beaches, it is considered as one of the most visited place in Greece. Although there are so many stunning beaches back in my country, I still want to see this island because they say that many of its beaches are gravel and not the usual sand.
Mt. Olympus
Mount Olympus is Greece highest and most famous mountain with an altitude of 2,918 meters. It is a home for the 12 ancient Greek gods and goddesses. The mountain is also famous for having rich flora and fauna making it Greece's first national park and listed as one of UNESCO's Biosphere Reserves.
These are just Five Places I want To Visit in Greece, for sure I'll see much more than these amazing places once I get there.

Great list, Bino. Greece is also on my travel bucket list (here’s the rest http://travellingboomer.com/whats-on-your-travel-bucket-list/), and these are must-see places. I’m going to visit Greece next month on a cruise, but except for Athens, I won’t get to see too much. One of these years I’ll go back and spend a month exploring its landscape and its history.
