Just this week, I had a chance to experience Siam Kempinski Hotel, one of the newest luxury hotels in Thailand's capital city of Bangkok which is celebrating their 3rd year of existence in this vibrant city on September 27. When I wander around the hotel, I realized that the property is built in a circle form. I immediately noticed the wonderful HUGE saltwater pools and lush landscaped gardens occupying the center of the hotel. My impression was that the hotel is likely more of a luxury resort within the city. The hotel white structures have minimalistic appeal and all 303 rooms including the 42 suites have their own balcony with a view of the center garden.
Lobby
When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted by their friendly securities and staffs and guided me to the reception area. The whole lobby is primarily made of vast marble creating a white atmosphere with contrast of purple which is the color of most of the decoration. On both side of the lobby, there are staircases wind up to the high ceiling, wooden artworks which serves as a vases for a huge tower of flowers. At night, a pianist and a lounge singer performs a very mellow music. I was impressed that the hotel compound is very quiet and offers a serene atmosphere considering that they are located in one of the busiest place in Bangkok.
Room
Siam Kempinski gave me a complimentary stay in one of their Executive Rooms located on the Royal Wing. Ms Pin, one of the receptionists escorted me to the room and explains some important details that I need to know during my stay. In my opinion, the room size is about 50 square meters.
