I've never been to London but I'm sure that just like any other, London is an exciting city filled with rich culture. Visitors from all over the world come here to enjoy and discover everything that this vibrant city has to offer. Asian and other races come here not just to travel but also to attend language school and learn English in London.
I always thought that one needs a lot of money to visit the British capital. But according to the European travelers I've met along the road, although London is a very expensive city to visit, there are things and places that I can do and visit for FREE.
Here are the free things I want to visit in London:
Somerset House is one of the major arts and cultural centre of London. It houses different contemporary art exhibitions throughout the year. The famous Georgian building and the courtyard alone are worthy of a visit. During summer, the courtyard is decorated by dancing fountains. In the winter, the courtyard is covered by ice which serves as a favorite ice rink.
Wherever I go, I always take time to visit the markets. For me, it is one of the best ways to know something about the place. It is a melting plot in which exotic goods and local products blend to create a great experience for visitors. In London, visiting the markets will make your day a busy day. Some of famous markets are Portobello Market, Borough Market, Camden Market, Covent Garden and many more. Aside from these, some of London's best markets can be found in the residential areas surrounding the city centre like Brixton Village Market, Broadway Market and Greenwich Market to name a few.
