Everytime I heard the word Ibiza, the first thing that comes into my mind is party. We all know that Ibiza has reputation as one of the party capital of the world and famous for its sea, sand, year-round sun and all night and day party. In fact, it has been so influential in the party scene that most of the DJs performing here are treated like celebrity.
Ibiza in Spain is one of my dream destinations. I always browse the internet to know something about this place and to see the beauty that Ibiza has to offer. I often look for information or ways on how to get to the island and also check for the prices and types of accommodation like the stylish Ibiza hotels with Venere. Having an accommodation in strategic location will definitely make my trip to Ibiza more enjoyable.
I was surprised that aside from being a party place there is another side that this beautiful Spanish island offers. Except from the beaches, stunning views of the countryside and places with intriguing history are also waiting to discover.
Here are the three things I want to do in Ibiza:
Hippy Market
The hippy market is a weekly event happening at two different venues. One is at Es Cana held every Wednesday being held at Arabi complex, just north of Santa Eulalia. The other one is Las Dalias hippy market and held every Saturday in Santa Carles de Peralta. Ibiza has strong artistic roots. Many artists such as painters and designers went here to experience its unique atmosphere and to express themselves freely. Their influence is evidently seen in the markets where handmade items of jewelry, artifacts and clothing are being sold.
Can Marca Cave
Can Marca Caves is more than a century old cave located in San Miguel. Before, it served as a hiding place of smugglers for their foods and other items. Inside the cave, markings in the walls painted by smugglers to serves as a guide in going in and out of the cave are still visible up to now. One can also see and experience beautiful rock formations and stalactites dripping from the ceiling.
Beaches
Like I said, Ibiza is known for island parties, visiting the place is not complete without going to one of the wonderful beaches in this island. Like Playa de Bossa which has the longest stretch of beach with huge number of bars and cafes. This is also the perfect place if you want to enjoy watersports. If you're looking for some finest islands, the beaches around Ses Salines are the best option. According to others, Formentera island is where the world class beaches in Ibiza can be found. You need to take ferry boat if you want to visit this island. Cala Conte is a place to witness the magnificent sunset in this part of the world.
