Things to Do in Bali

August 10, 2012 by Bino 3 Comments

Bali is an island in Indonesia and located in between Java to the west and Lombok to the east. The place is richly packed with volcanic lakes, gorgeous fields of rice paddy, stunning tropical beaches, flora and fauna, ancient temples and exotic melting pot of cultures and peoples.

Bali is a wonderful place and I felt lucky enough to spend 3 weeks on this tropical island paradise. Among the places that I've been in this trip, Bali is one destination that I plan to visit again.

Based on my past experience, I can say that Bali is top destination for a tropical getaway. It offers almost everything for holiday makers.??From water-sports, shopping, unsurpassed architectures, elaborate religious festival and colorful Balinese culture. '?I listed some of the best things to experience in Bali.

Hire a Driver

Bali

Ubud Tour is a must thing to do in Bali. Hiring a knowledgeable driver and car for an entire day is extremely an efficient way to see the various temples in Ubud and other sites that Bali ??has to offer at your own pace. The tour is also a good way to explore and witness the everyday life of the locals in various villages.

Learn How to Surf

Bali
Bali offers many places for surfers of any level. It boasts some of the best surfing spots in the world. It has many top quality breaks on the southwest and southeast cost of the island depending on the season, and there are wide range of breaks to cater all skills levels. There are quite numerous surfing schools in Kuta Beach for those who want to learn how to surf.

Arts and Crafts

I noticed that Balinese are surrounded by art throughout their lives. The arts and crafts scene in Bali is very noticeable and well developed. In fact, you can see art shop in every corner of the streets. Sculpture, painting, carving and playing musical instrument have been the expertise of most men, while women showcase their creative side in creating lavish offerings to the Gods. Almost everyday, you can see spectacular pyramids of fruits, flowers and rice cake.

Shopping

Bali
Regardless of your main reasons for coming to Bali, you're going to end up shopping. Shopping in Bali is not simply walking into a shop, picking something from a shelf and paying for it. Shopping is also an art because bargaining is a big part of it. Bargaining in markets, shops and art shops, is normal practice and getting a good price depends largely on one’s bargaining skill.

These are just few of the many things to do in Bali so if you're planning to visit and experience the beauty of this wonderful island in the future you may browse cheap flights to Bali at JetAbroad.com.au. My experience in Bali is one of the highlights of my trips in Indonesia and I'll definitely go back here for new experiences and also do the things I enumerated above all over again.
