The guys at HostelBookers came up with a great idea for sharing stories and photos. To keep it going, I've been tagged by Albino of I Wander to join in Hostelbookers 7 Super Shots! To participate, I must choose a photo in each of seven pre-chosen categories, write a short description of each, then nominate five more bloggers to do the same. Thanks Albino as it gave me little fun time to reminisce my travels.
Here's my 7 Super Shots:
A photo that'takes my breath away
This shot was taken in Tsongmo Lake in East Sikkim, India. This Himalayan lake is a glacial lake with an altitude of 12,400 ft. (3,780 meters) above sea level. As a person who grew up in a tropical country, I literally held my breath when I first saw mountains covered with ice surrounding the majestic lake. Not to mention that the road from Gangtok to Tsongmo also provides breathtaking views of Himalayas.
A photo that'makes me laugh or smile
This shot was taken at Wenara Wana or the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud, Bali in Indonesia. This is one from the personal archives and I can't help but smile every time I see it. The monkey is simply hilarious.
A photo that'makes me dream
This shot was taken in El Nido. The first leg of my trip was El Nido, Palawan in the Philippines. Before going there, I often heard that El Nido is so wonderful and it's a real paradise. This made me decide to visit the island of Palawan and stay there for a month. When I got there, it never failed to impress me. Up to now, the islands and beaches of El Nido are the most beautiful I've seen in my entire life. I'm dreaming of coming back and to spend the rest of my life here.
A photo that'makes me think
This shot was taken in Kolkata, India. Everytime I see this image, it makes me think on how this person ended up in this kind of life. I hope that it's not too late for this man to improve his life situation.
A photo that'makes my mouth water
This shot was taken in Luang Prabang in Laos. For being on the road for 14 months, this is by far the cheapest buffet I've tried. For only US$1.25, you can have a great meal for the day. Having cheap doesn't mean that these foods are not delicious'
A photo that'tells a story
This shot was taken in Beijing, China. I was touched by this scene as it reminds me that human happiness does not depend on material things'
A photo that'I am most proud of (aka my worthy of National Geographic shot)
This shot was taken in Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary in West Bengal. Seeing animals such as these elephants in the wild is one of the most memorable experiences in my life. I really enjoyed the moment of being in the mid of a jungle and watched a lot of wild animals roaming free in their natural habitat.
And those are my shots! I hope you all enjoy these images. As part of this great idea, it's my turn to tag five awesome bloggers to show us their 7 Super Shots.

That photo of scavenging in India was just riveting…human and animals scampering for same source of food is just dehumanizing…:-(
