Hansar Bangkok is a stylish 5 star hotel and one of the newest luxury boutique hotels in the capital city of Thailand. Hansar is a sanskrit word which means “to be in the moment of happiness or enjoyment”.
As soon as I step through the main entrance of the hotel, I was greeted warmly by the staff with sincere smiles and guided me to the reception area located on the second floor.
When I get to the lobby, I noticed that it is quite small and clean with a very minimalist design. It is decorated by a noticeable large and colorful piece of artwork and paintings. From the lobby to the reception area on the second floor, majority of the hotel interior is made of shiny teak wood including the stairs with intricate design on both sides. Being in Thailand, the hotel interior is pretty good as it provides a very Asian atmosphere. It offers a fascinating blend of Thai style and modern contemporary luxury.

While they’re accommodating me at the reception, one of their staff served a very refreshing cranberry juice and towel.
Hansar has 94 suites categorized into five different room – Studio suites (59 sqm), Urban suites (71 sqm), Edge suites (77sqm), Vertigo suites (82 sqm) and the Loft suites (125 sqm).
Hansar gave me a complimentary stay in their Edge Suite located on the 16th floor. I was escorted by their friendly staff to my room and from the moment I stepped inside, I immediately noticed and was impressed by the inner garden effect in the room.
The first thing that you will see when you open your door.
Living room / Working station
The room is very spacious and has two sofa set and a separate working station which is perfect for people who needs to get some work done while traveling. The interior is a mix of local style with modern lines, creating a unique atmosphere of luxury.
My office for that day. 🙂
I was amazed by the size of the living room and the office area. The room comes with tea and coffee-making facilities, fresh fruits (replenished everyday), large LCD TV, DVD player. What surprised me was all the items in the mini-bar are free and replenished daily. Even the free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel doesn’t even need any password or code to use it. Simply connect to their server and you can use the internet.
Another sofa set
One of my favorite spots in their room is the bathroom. It was so HUGE! In fact, the bathroom was even bigger compared to some rooms where I stayed in the past during my travels. The bathroom is equipped with toiletries which is being replenish daily and has two vanity sink made of marble.
The bathroom features a stunning mix of wood and stone, as well as a custom designed Terrazzo soaker bathtub and a separate glassed-in rainfall shower.
The bedroom has a very minimalist appeal. The headboard is decorated by intricate design made of colorful beads. You can also enjoy watching your favorite show while lying in your bed as there’s another large LCD TV in the bedroom.
A very comfortable bed
I won’t deny it, I’ve stayed in different kinds of accommodation in more than two years of my travels and Hansar Hotel has one of the most comfortable bed. It feels like I’m sleeping in the clouds.
The bedroom has a nice lighting which you can control using the control board located on the side of the bed
Another thing that surprised me was the pillow menu. YES! You have the option to choose the types of pillow that you want to use.
My room comes with a complimentary buffet breakfast. It is available from 7:00 am – 10:00 am and serves at EVE, one of their restaurants and located on the Ground Floor. They offer variety of dishes to satisfy every guest. They have bacon, bread, salad, soup, ham, cereals, fruits, waffles and more.
POOL and FITNESS CENTER
The swimming pool and fitness center are both located on the 8th floor. The infinity pool has a view of the Ratchadamri neighborhood and the Royal Bangkok Sports Club in the distance. The friendly staff in the area can provide towel, snacks and cold water.
The fitness center offers various equipment and they have a certified instructor who can assist you. They also have steam bath to help you relax your muscles. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to use the steam bath as it was temporarily out of service.
Hansar Hotel also offer a relaxing various spa treatment in Luxsa Spa. Luxsa also comes from the Sanskrit language which means “healing – health through water”. They offer a sanctuary for the tired mind and body.
The Vertigo Suites are lined with bookcases displaying various artifacts. Having 82 sqm size, it surely offers a generous space for guests. It offers a living room, two separate working stations and a walk-in bathroom.
The Loft Suites at the Hansar Bangkok measures 125 sqm. It has two floors featuring a huge lounge area, and dining space with kitchen, perfect for hosting small events for family. You can still enjoy your privacy because the upper floor is closed off from the entry level floor. A butler’s service is also provided in this suite.
